Europe and Back by Rev. Dave Andrus The days leading up to our departure were full and frantic. We would be gone for two weeks but we had to get things ready for Esther who would come and care for the kids. What a wonderful lady she is. She is like a loving grandma to our kids. The flights from St. Louis to Newark and Newark to Oslo were long but uneventful. We tried to sleep, but weren’t very successful. In Oslo, we went through passport control, then walked down a very long hallway to the other end of the airport, where we picked up our baggage and went through customs. Then we sat and waited for our contact from the Norwegian group for the blind. We waited and wondered and waited and dozed and waited. After about five hours, she finally came.
